About our organisation...

The organisation has made a real difference in the community of Stechford, it has achieved the first year target of establishing a steady number of young people, having indoor and outdoor activities, having a quality experienced management committee.

The organisation started with an informal survey asking young people what they wanted, it became apparent that football was a very popular choice. The next step was finding a venue to provide football, Yardley Fields Recreation Ground was the best option as it was easily accessible and many young people were familiar to it.

We started voluntarily offering Sunday football coaching to see the response, it was a great time in Stechford having something new for young people an average of 40-60 young people were attending. We contacted the Ward Support Officer to get some training equipment and were successful, since them we have started a youth club two nights a week, taken the youth to starcity, drayton manor amongst other outings. We provided the first summer holiday scheme last year, introduced a media project and workshops in the summer.
